A complete maths and English learning world your child will beg to play.

Every game is built for specific skills from the school curriculum, from Grade R to Grade 7. Your child earns Tycoon Tokens to build their own homestead, farm and village, and you see exactly which skills they've mastered, practised, and still need help with.

  • ✔ Up to 3 children per membership
  • ✔ Made by qualified teachers
A child's homestead in Tycoon Kids World: a blue house, a vegetable garden, a fenced pen with a cow, sheep and chickens, a market stall, and a boat at the dock ready to sail to Math Island and Word Island.
A real homestead, built with tokens earned in the learning games.

Not another pile of free learning apps

A quiz app here, a times-tables game there. Each one covers whatever it happens to cover, starts wherever it likes, and tells you almost nothing about what your child actually learned. Most are worksheets in a costume, and children see through them in minutes.

Tycoon Kids World is one complete, connected learning system. Every game, every level and every reward is tied to the same map of school skills, so every minute your child plays builds on the last, and you can see it happen.

One connected system

From the school curriculum to your child's progress, all in one place

Every part of Tycoon Kids World is built on our own Skills Framework, a complete map of primary school maths and English.

Why children keep coming back

Play. Earn. Build. Repeat.

The motivation that keeps children practising every day, because they want to, not because they're told to.

    🎣

    Play learning games

Sail to Math Island and Word Island. Every hut is a game, each one built around a real school skill.

    Build their own world

Buy land, upgrade a tent into a grand manor, plant a garden, keep animals, decorate every room. Then go back for more.

The world

A cosy world that grows with every lesson

Beautiful pixel art, a living homestead, and a boat that sails to the islands of learning.

Inside a child's house: a living room with a fireplace, piano and bookcase, and a bedroom with a bed, desk and wardrobe.

Their house, their way

Everything is bought with tokens they earned: beds, tables, fireplaces, pianos, rugs, wallpaper and floors. Houses grow from a little tent to a Grand Manor with rooms inside.

  • Over 150 things to buy, place and move
  • Furniture that does things: nap in the bed, play the piano, spin the globe
  • A wardrobe of clothes, hats and pets for their own character
The homestead at night, with glowing lamp posts and a campfire.

A homestead that feels alive

Chop trees and clear rocks for wood and stone. Plant vegetables, keep chickens, sheep and cows, and sell the harvest at the market. Ducks swim in the pond, and the lamps glow when the sun goes down.

Our farm rule: the farm can never earn more than playing the learning games. Learning is always the fastest way to grow.

Math Island: the Fishy Sums hut glows gold with a PLAY sign, showing Level 2 and four stars.

Sail to the islands of learning

Your child's boat is always free. On Math Island and Word Island, every hut is a game. Each hut shows their level and stars, so they can see themselves getting better.

New games are added all the time, and children unlock new games and levels as they progress, so there's always something new to reach for.

The games

Every game is built for real school skills

Each game is designed around one core skill and the exact sub-skills it is made of. And the learning is the game: solving the sum or spelling the word is the action, not a quiz in a costume.

Fishy Sums: a sum ticket at the top, fish with numbers swimming in the sea, and the child's character fishing from the pier.

Maths · Math Island

Fishy Sums

Run the island fish shop. Customers bring sum tickets, and your child casts for the fish with the right answer, then reels it in. Finish with The Big One.

Real mastery, not just points

They move up when they've truly got it

Children start each game at their own school grade. They only level up when they've shown real mastery:

  • At least 5 games at a level, with an average of 90% or more over the last 5
  • Each game has its own level: strong in spelling, still growing in times tables? That's fine
  • Stars on every hut, so children can see their progress
  • Stretch questions to challenge them, and they can choose to keep practising
  • Timers only for speed skills (like number facts) from Level 2 up. Never on reading or writing

Higher levels pay more tokens, so the smart move is always to learn more, never to replay easy games.

Your parent dashboard

Know exactly how your child is doing

No more guessing whether screen time is doing any good. Your parent dashboard shows how your child's time is spent, which skills they've practised, where they excel, and where they need a hand.

Who made it

Made by two teachers, for children who love to play

Tycoon Kids World is made by Bertus and Dorita, both qualified teachers who have taught at international schools all over the world, in different countries and curriculums. We built the games we wished our own students had: serious about learning, and genuinely fun.

From the makers of Tycoon Kids Academy, the entrepreneurship course for kids.

Questions

Questions parents ask

What ages and grades is it for?

Children from about 5 to 13: Grade R (Kindergarten in the US, Reception in England) up to Grade 7. Your child chooses their country and grade, and every game starts at the right level for them.

How is this different from free learning apps?

Free apps are usually separate, unconnected games: each covers whatever it happens to cover, and you can't see what your child has actually learned. Tycoon Kids World is one complete system. Every game is built for specific skills in our Skills Framework (164 core skills and 679 sub-skills, Grade R to Grade 7), every answer is tracked against those skills, and your parent dashboard shows exactly where your child is strong and where they need help. And there are no ads.

What will I see in the parent dashboard?

How much time your child spent learning and on which games, their level and stars in each game, which skills and sub-skills they've practised (and which not yet), where they excel, where they need more help, and how all of it connects to the school curriculum. Each child has their own progress.

How many children can use one membership?

One membership covers up to 3 children and one parent login. Each child gets their own world, character, levels and progress, and you see all of them in your one parent dashboard.

Will it match what my child does at school?

Every game is linked to our Skills Framework, which is mapped to the US Common Core and the National Curriculum in England, and matched to South African grades. Units, money and school words follow your country, for example rand or dollars, metres or feet, and BODMAS or PEMDAS.

Is it really learning, or just a game?

Both. In every game the skill is the action: you catch the fish by solving the sum, you defeat the monster by spelling the word. Children only move up a level after showing real mastery (5 or more games with an average of 90% or more), and the best rewards always come from learning more.

Can my child spend real money in the game?

No. There's nothing to buy with real money inside the game. Tycoon Tokens and materials can only be earned by playing.

Is it safe? Can other people talk to my child?

No one can contact your child. There's no chat, no ads and no links out of the game. We only ask for your child's first name, country and grade.

What devices does it work on?

Phones, tablets and laptops, right in the web browser. There's nothing to install, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

When does it open, and what does the waitlist cost?

The waitlist is free. We're finishing the parent area now and adding new games all the time. Waitlist families hear first when we open, and some will be invited to test it free before launch.

Real skills. Real progress. A world they'll love.
